download pedkin

Below are the downloadable versions of pedkin. All archives contain a README file with usage instructions, sample pedigree and proband files, and a file containing your license. In addition, the binary archives contain the executable and the source archives contain the full C++ source code.

Windows

I have tested the Windows executable on Windows NT and XP. It should also run on the other 32-bit versions of Windows (95, 98, ME, 2000).

After you download the archive, unzip it into any directory and refer to the README file for further instructions. You can unzip the archive using WinZip or similar software.

Linux

The Linux binary runs on my Debian GNU/Linux (kernel 2.4.20 on i686). It does require libstdc++.so.5, which should be available in any distro.

Download the archive, unpack it using tar xzf pedkin.tgz and refer to the README file for more info.

Source code

The source archives below have identical content. Just pick the one with the extension you prefer. The included README file contains instructions for compiling pedkin.

If you wish to redistribute pedkin, either in source or binary form, please take notice of the license.

I am curious about how widely pedkin will be used. If you like, you can notify me with an (empty) email.

If you port pedkin to any other platform, I'd be more than happy to host the binaries here.

If you notice a bug in pedkin, please let me know about it so I can fix it.

Note: you are viewing the 'retro' version of these pages. This is either because you are using an outdated browser, or you have disabled JavaScript so I can't check whether your browser is up to date. If neither is the case, please notify me so I can fix this. Otherwise, why not upgrade to an up to date version of Mozilla, Opera or IE?
